How can you plan all maintenance work?

The process of planning maintenance work is critical to achieving the plant reliability that you need. Work planning ensures that the materials used are the right materials, that all the necessary resources can be scheduled, that the work is done as efficiently as possible and that the information needed for continuous improvement is collected and used.

There are many things to be considered during the planning process, and even an experienced planner can easily overlook important details.

Have a look at our Planning Check List which has been developed over many years and with input from experienced people in many industries and institutions. Of course, not all the items on the check list apply to all jobs, but they do all apply to some jobs.

A check list like this is a useful tool for training new Planners and tradespeople who may be assigned planning duties.
